Cartersville House of Prayer is comprised of a group of believers who are burning to see a change in the atmosphere in our region. With one thing (Psalms 27:4) on our minds, we are entering into new seasons of consecration as we fast and pray together for the establishment of the rule of heaven in Northwest Georgia.

The vision of 100 intercessors that was given to directors Rocky and Mary Abernathy years ago is coming to pass. We are amazed daily at His provision and His love for this house. Georgia, God has His eye on you!

MISSIONS BASE

And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?
Luke 18:7

Cartersville House of Prayer is following the biblical mandate to restore the house of prayer in our city in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David with 24/7 worship and intercession. We are moving towards our goal of 24/7 worship integrated with prayer. All are welcome to visit, meditate on God’s Word, journal, worship or simply pray. Our hearts’ desire is that all–young and old–would come and pray for revival in our city, our region, our nation and our world.

VISION STATEMENT

  • To prepare our hearts for His coming through day and night prayer causing us to grow deeper in intimacy with the Father.
  • To raise up a house of prayer that will cry out for the peace of Israel and the salvation of the nations.
  • To prepare a dwelling place for Him in our region worshiping Him for He alone is worthy.

HISTORY OF THE PRAYER MOVEMENT

Around 1000 BC, King David established a tabernacle in Jerusalem and set a precedent of night and day worship before the Lord that continued at various times throughout Israel and Judah’s history. Each time this order of worship was reintroduced, spiritual breakthrough, deliverance and military victory followed. Likewise, throughout the centuries, groups in Ireland, Germany, South Korea, and elsewhere across the globe have established day and night centers of prayer and worship. Following this tradition, International House of Prayer Kansas City started a prayer and worship meeting in 1999 that continues today. Since then, many houses of prayer have arisen around the nation. Cartersville House of Prayer is one of these prayer furnaces desiring an unending prayer meeting.
